Between April 2 and 7, 2025, a series of severe weather events, including 156 confirmed tornadoes and widespread flooding, struck the U.S. Midwest and South. The storms resulted in 24 deaths and at least 47 injuries. Multiple rivers overflowed, causing significant damage to nearby towns. The outbreak received a score of 96 on the Outbreak Intensity Score, classifying it as "devastating."
